The Sun Life Stanshawe Band was formed in 1968 by a small group of amateur brass musicians from Bristol. The band reached national and world award winning standards, performing across the UK and Europe, plus regularly appearing on BBC Radio 2 and 3, BBC 2 Best of Brass and Granada TV Band of the year programmes. The band sadly disbanded in 1997, but come together again for a reunion concert, performing a varied programme of classical and original light music to celebrate their 29 year history.
