The first ever Reggae Orchestra in Bristol and the South West will take its place in the city's cultural history with its live world premiere at St George's Bristol. Led by local musicians Norma Daykin (Lorraine Ayensu Trio, Paraty) and Delroy 'Roots' O'Gilvie (Black Roots, One Drop, Jungle Red), and performing alongside the UK's best known jazz trombonist Dennis Rollins (Badbone & Co, The Jazz Warriors), the orchestra is made up of 35 musicians, from a diversity of cultures, with a variety of musical skills and experience. "This is one of the most inspiring and unique community music projects in Bristol and the South West. It gives a platform for unsung local musicians to develop their talents, work with a new people, and perform at some of the city’s biggest community events and venues."
