An exquisite evening of words, music and visual imagery.

An intimate, beautifully put-together evening blending evocative poems by G K Chesterton, Shakespeare, Yeats and others with exquisite songs and music ranging from traditional folk ballads to Gershwin and Edith Piaf, 'Siren Songs' explores the themes of women and birds as eternal symbols for freedom, beauty, flight and captivity.

Weaving compelling readings by actor John Telfer (Royal National Theatre, 'Bergerac', 'The Archers') with electrifying pianism by Howard Moody (Sarum Orchestra), angelic singing by soprano Lorna Anderson (Les Arts Florissants, The Sixteen) and rich, multi-layered visuals created in real time by video artist Kathy Hinde (Arnolfini, Royal Opera House) and painter Laura Cramer, 'Siren Songs' is a wonderful evening of vivid cabaret.

Post-concert the downstairs crypt transforms into an atmospheric café hideaway, filled with softly singing café-music.

"[Bozarts events] breathe new life into entertainment. The format of music with theatre and visual projection works a treat. It is strong, original, and a bit of theatrical dynamite. Fabulous." Charles Hazlewood

'John Telfer readily connects with a modern audience ... an expert judge of [the] comic.' Bristol Evening Post

Lorna Anderson: 'A soprano of stature ... lovely, radiant, intense and stylish.' The Times

Howard Moody: '[A musician] of rare sensibility.' Jazzwise

'[Kathy Hinde's] visuals are inspirational.' The Scotsman
