Framed by the tango music of Astor Piazzolla (touched by sadness, yet so vibrant and so intensely of the moment, balanced between pain and joy) and de Falla's showpiece El Amor Brujo, one cannot help but be swept along by this wonderfully rich portrait of Latin America. 'Amanda Cook has a silky smoothness but she packs great power – quite remarkable.' The Independent bristolensemble.com amandacook.co.uk jenniferwalkersoprano.co.uk
