A Holiday Concert with Joby Burgess

Enter a world of 'crash, bang, wallop!' as the phenomenal percussionist Joby Burgess launches headlong into a snappy and infectious rhythmic extravaganza with every kind of weird and wonderful thing to hit and slap, from flowerpots, desk bells, junk metal and car parts to drums, vibraphone and marimba.

Riveting to watch, but with plenty of audience participation along the way, Joby darts from instrument to instrument as he creates a gripping and gleeful mesh of rhythms, playing David Lang's evocative classic The Anvil Chorus, Richard Baker's magical Sleepsong and Gabriel Prokofiev's Fanta® (using two Fanta bottles and electronics). A stunning performance, hugely entertaining.
