Tchaikovsky Polonaise from Act III of Eugene Onegin
Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D
Rachmaninov Symphony No 2 in E minor

Robert Weaver returns as guest conductor of the Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra in a thrilling all-Russian programme of late Romantic masterpieces. After a grand opening with Tchaikovsky’s Polonaise from Act III of his opera Eugene Onegin, Emmanuel Bach, prize-winning postgraduate scholar at London’s Royal College of Music, scales the heights of Tchaikovsky’s dazzling, virtuosic feat of a concerto. The programme ends in Rachmaninov’s emotionally and musically expansive Second Symphony, one of the composer’s finest achievements. / @BMetOrchestra
