BBC Radio 4 More Than Words
Festival: Day One
A wonderful, free weekend of live performance, comedy, storytelling, conversation, drama, and poetry, courtesy of BBC Radio 4.
More Than Words is Radio 4′s thought-provoking and fun weekend festival celebrating both Bristol and some of the great Radio 4 shows made in the area and beyond. Inspired by the theme of “listening”, which, in a fast paced world, is something we all struggle to make time for, this is your chance to reconnect with thoughtful listening and to come face-to-face with wonderful thinkers, journalists, writers, comedians, actors and poets.
Join the very highest calibre performers – including Matthew Parris, Cerys Matthews, Roger McGough, Owen Sheers, Lynne Truss, Clive Anderson, Kirsty Young, Paddy O’Connell, Michael Rosen, Jamie Cullum and Harriett Gilbert – enthralling special guests, and the most exciting local talent Bristol has to offer, for discussions, drama, conversation and entertaining perspectives on a wide range of topics, with, of course, the chance for you to make your voice heard.
Full programme and booking details released early 2012. For advance information on the More Than Words Festival please phone the Box Office 0845 40 24 001 and join the More Than Words e-news.
