Red Baraat
‘Music to shake any and all body parts to and if you don’t, check your pulse.’ All About Jazz
After storming performances in the USA and Canada, the pioneering New York-based dhol ‘n’ brass nine-piece marching band Red Baraat hits the UK with its incredibly powerful ‘dare you to sit still’ live show. Weaving a fun, infectious blend of Punjabi bhangra rhythms, rowdy brass-band energy, New Orleans swing-funk, full-tilt go-go, Latin and jazz, and performing originals, traditionals, Indian pop and Bollywood tunes, this is music with chops, a swaggering dance party that doesn’t stop.

‘Brooklyn nine-piece party-starters Red Baraat are the most exciting prospect of the year, a fiery blend of raucous Indian bhangra and funky New Orleans brass. The result, needless to say, is completely riotous, an unstoppable blend of Bollywood hijacks and funk freakier.’ Village Voice
