#Flashtag 24 Hour Flash Sale – Friday 15 January 2016

St George’s joins forces with other music venues, theatres, art galleries, independent cinemas and a museum for a 24-hour flash sale in Bristol from 10am on 15 January. It is the third time the city’s cultural venues have stimulated ticket sales during a traditionally slow month. Flash sales have been a regular feature in retail, but are still relatively rare in the arts.

Other organisations which have signed up to the flash sale include Colston Hall, M Shed, Watershed, Bristol Old Vic, Tobacco Factory Theatres, the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) and Arnolfini.

Bargain-hunters can pick from music performances, exhibitions, cinema and art alongside the more familiar January offers on sofas, party dresses and electrical goods.

The flash sale is being promoted through Twitter feeds using the hashtag #flashtag, and on websites, as well as though the local media. It is also a great way for Bristolians to try out new events and venues – especially for those who have taken a New Year’s resolution to go to more music performances, exhibitions, theatre productions and independent cinema!
