Do you know a young cellist who might like to take part in a masterclass with Natalie Clein?

We launched our MUSIC MENTORS scheme last season with a masterclass for three lucky cellists (by the scheme’s patron Julian Lloyd Webber). This season we have already hosted two fantastic sessions for six young guitarists led by Xuefei Yang and Craig Ogden. Now we are looking for three more talented young cellists to work with the fabulous Natalie Clein.

If you know anyone aged 11 – 18 who has been learning the cello for at least two years, we’d love to hear from you/them! Participants’ names will be chosen ‘from a hat’ completely at random, with the three selected young musicians then invited to participate in a master class with Natalie. Each player will need to bring along a piece they are currently working on.

The master class will take place at St George’s at 2pm on Friday 13 November and will last for approximately 45 minutes. Family, friends and any interested cello enthusiasts including teachers and other young musicians are all welcome to attend. Anyone not selected is definitely encouraged to come along anyway to watch the session instead.

If this is of interest, please email the young person’s name, age and standard (ABRSM/Trinity grade or similar) to by Friday 23rd October.
