CPE Bach Sonata in G Wq86
Claude Debussy Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune
Carl Reinecke “Undine” Sonata
Alfredo Casella Sicilienne et burlesque Op 23

Hong Kong-born flautist Sirius Chau was selected for Tillett Trust’s Young Artists Platform in March 2018, and is joined by pianist Kumi Matsuo to perform this enchanting programme. Carl Reineke’s Romantic ‘Undine’ Sonata is based on the novel of the same name by Friedrich de la Motte Fouque, and Alfredo Casella’s evocative Sicilienne et Burlesque is a popular and inspirational work for the combination of flute and piano. The pipes of the mythical fawn make a beautiful transition to flute and piano for this version of Debussy’s symphonic masterpiece.
