Les Kapsbergirls bring a programme of the ‘Airs de cour’ (Court Songs) – light in character but strongly authentic. These are the songs we all know, the ones hummed by lovers to one another after a good night out. Play in the gardens of Versailles, at Apollo’s pool or the groves of Trianon as these fables are sung. France at the dawn of the 17th century is home to many musicians whose talent served the bourgeoisie and nobility so fond of these simple songs. With one or two voices and accompanied by lute or gamba, Les Kapsbergirls bring to life works drawn from three centuries including music by Moulinié, Le Camus, Saggione & Pinel.
