Samuele Telari Accordion

Ligeti Musica Ricercata arranged by Max Bonnay
Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition

Described as an ‘artist whose overwhelming musicality goes beyond his instrument’ (Il Sole24Ore), in 2019 Samuele was a prize-winner at the YCAT International Auditions held at Wigmore Hall.

Previous awards include 1st Prize at the 2018 Arassate-Hiria (Spain) and the 2013 Castelfidardo (Italy) Competitions.

Engagements during 2020/21 include recitals at Wigmore Hall, Snape Maltings, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Verbier Academy Festival, Schlern Music (North Italy) and the Divertimento Ensemble Rondò series in Milan. He collaborates with Ema Nikolovska (mezzo), the Castalian Quartet and Quatour Hermes, and records for Delphian.

Samuele has performed widely in Europe, highlights including the Societa dei Concerti (Milan), Amici della Musica di Firenze, Cité de la Danse et la Musique (Strasbourg) and Berlin Philharmonie. As soloist with orchestra he has premiered Enrico Blatti’s Concerto with the State Hermitage Orchestra in St. Petersburg and performed Galliano’s Opale with I Virtuosi Italiani.

Born in Spoleto (Italy), Samuele is professor at the Conservatory ‘Gesualdo da Venosa’ in Potenza, ‘Bruno Maderna’ in Cesena and ‘F.A.Bonporti’ in Trento.

Over the last year Samuele has undertaken tours of Spain and Serbia and given recitals across Italy including the Amici della Musica di Firenze and Festival Nuova Consonanza (Rome).

Samuele Telari is a total musician, a quiet, thoughtful and elegant artist, often absorbed in intangible listening practices.

Sandro Cappelletto / Limes CD / 2017

Telari belongs to a generation of artists whose overwhelming musicality goes beyond their instrument: here, Bach becomes an organ, Gubaidulina a mystical prayer, Saint-Saens a flaming Orchestra.

Il Sole24Ore / Carla Moreni / 2017
