Defying categorisation, and established as one of the brightest and boldest jazz talents in the UK, Rebecca has created a distinctive and personal musical voice, full of artistry and heart. Her writing incorporates a wide range of influences, having grown up playing and listening to classical composers such as Tavener and Tippet, as well immersing herself in the worlds of other bands such as Radiohead and Royksopp – but she remains firmly rooted within the jazz tradition.

This new suite of music was commissioned by Bristol Jazz Festival and is the eagerly awaited follow up to Rebecca’s 2019 genre-defying Peaceful King. Drawing from stylistic elements of her previous compositions, Redefining Element 78 is in part inspired by the periodic table’s Platinum metal family, as well as meeting saxophonist John O’Gallagher who is currently residing in the UK and will be joining this stellar line-up for the album tour.

“One of the freshest most creative talents in the UK at this present time” – UK Vibe

“At the vanguard of innovative and compelling new music” – Downbeat Magazine

“Powerful jazz making without a safety net” – The Guardian
