An evening of deliciously uncategorisable instrumental music. Bristol’s acoustic multi-instrumental chamber-folk trio Three Cane Whale return to their favourite venue with a panoply of familiar and unusual instruments, and a set of atmospheric landscape-inspired tunes drawn from their four albums, as well as brand new unreleased material. Support is from old friends the delightful Eleven Magpies, a four-piece of stringed instruments led by Wise Children’s Ian Ross, who’ll be unveiling their new album “2 4 Joy”.

Expect a collaborative ending to the programme which should prove wholeheartedly that three plus eleven is actually six…

“exquisite, elegant, atmospheric and charmingly quirky….a shifting mosaic of musical textures”(The Guardian)

“…one of the most refreshing albums of instrumental folk you are likely to hear for a long time” (Folk Radio)
