St George’s Bristol Closure due to Covid-19 FAQs

Is St George’s Bristol open?

St George’s Bristol is closed for events from Tuesday 17 March 2020. This includes the Concert Hall, counter service for the Box Office and Café Bar.

St George’s Bristol will be ‘dark’ until at least the end of May. The majority of the team will be furloughed during this time. You can continue to book future events online, and access information here on our website. The team continue to stay well and extend our very best wishes to all visitors and artists who come to St George’s. We look forward to being in touch again soon.

When will St George’s Bristol re-open?

We are closely following Government advice and are reviewing the status of events on a regular basis. We will be notifying customers of any changes as soon as possible. Our Box Office team is contacting ticketholders in order of the dates of the events they have booked for. We thank you for your patience at this time. We will announce our re-opening on our website, social media and newsletters and look forward to welcoming you back as soon as it is safe to do so.

How can I contact St George’s Bristol while you are closed?

Counter service and the Box Office telephone line is suspended due to closure of the building. If you have tickets booked with us, and are unable to make the rescheduled concert date, please get in touch with us. All tickets and seat reservations will be automatically carried over to the new date. If you need to contact the Box Office you can email our Box Office team at: We will respond as soon as possible, but it is unlikely that our team will be able to respond immediately. We thank you for your patience at this time.

If my concert is cancelled or postponed can I get a refund?

If a concert is cancelled or postponed, we will first try to rearrange the event and will notify customers if this is possible. We will then automatically transfer your tickets and seat reservations across to the new date. If you can’t make the new concert date or don’t want to transfer your ticket across, please contact our Box Office team and let us know how you would like to proceed:

  • In this challenging time we are asking customers if they would consider donating the face value of their ticket to the charity St George’s Bristol to help secure our future and help some of the artists whose events have been cancelled. Please contact our Box Office to do this, stating the name the ticket/s are booked in, and letting us know whether you are eligible for Gift Aid.*

  • If you are unable to donate, or are unable to transfer your ticket to a rescheduled date, we completely understand. We can offer a refund of the face value of the ticket in accordance with our terms and conditions. Please bear with us as the volume of events we are working through will take some time to process.

  • You can also convert the face value of your ticket into credit on your St George’s Bristol account, which you can then use to book for any other events this year once we have re-opened.

How can I support St George’s Bristol?
