Schola Cantorum

Enjoy a free lunchtime concert of light and fun acappella arrangements given by Schola Cantorum of Ardingly College.

On tour in the South West, this hour long programme will feature songs from the Great American Songbook alongside some individual vocal solos.

It has been a busy year for this Chamber choir who have sung at St John Smith Square in London and Westminster Abbey alongside performing Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas in September. In January, a CD of contemporary choral music, Sing Joyfully was released with a strong emphasis on the music of local composer and organist, David Bednall. However, annually the ensemble perform a Cabaret Evening in which lighter musical styles are explored and it is some of this repertoire which is showcased in this concert.
