Debussy  Two Nocturnes: Nuages and Fêtes
Mozart  Concerto for Two Pianos
Benson  Mozart Goes to Town
Dvořák  Symphony No 8
Marquez  Danzon No 2

Debussy’s Nuages and Fêtes (Clouds and Festivals) are two of the three Nocturnes inspired by a series of impressionist paintings, also called Nocturnes, by James Abbott McNeill Whistler. Celebrating their 20 years of musical collaboration and deep friendship, You-Chiung Lin and Stefan Hofkes will perform together Mozart’s gorgeously inventive Concerto for Two Pianos. Then, just for fun, You-Chiung and Stefan will give us Clifford Benson’s witty, jazz-inflected Mozart Goes to Town. The Eighth Symphony of Dvořák is his most cheery and lyrical and draws its inspiration from the Bohemian folk music that Dvořák loved. To conclude, even more joyfully, we will end with the beguiling Danzón No 2, by the Mexican composer Arturo Marquez.
