House Manager

We are looking for a new House Manager to join our team. House Managers oversee the smooth running of the front of house during events. House Managers have direct contact with the audience and therefore they represent to many audience members a ‘human face’ or ‘voice’ of St George’s Bristol. It is therefore essential that House Managers have first class communication and customer care skills in order to be able to put the audience at ease, and represent the organisation in a professional manner. House Managers are seen as very much part of the St George’s Bristol team and his or her input into the running of events is highly valued. Training sessions and meetings with management are held regularly. This is a casual position and pays £6.97 an hour, typical shifts are evenings and weekends, with some weekday availability necessary.

Senior House Manager

We are also looking for a new Senior House Manager to join the team. The Senior House Manager is responsible for the full front of house operation of St George’s Bristol for concerts, corporate events and weddings; coordinating box office and bar operations, paid concert staff and a team of volunteer stewards, looking after performers and the public and ensuring the effective, efficient and safe delivery of our services. The Senior House Manager is the primary point of contact for the public accessing the hall and so must maintain a high level of visibility, while acting with the best standards of customer care. Whilst on duty the post will be responsible for the building, the grounds and resources, ensuring its security and the health and safety of visitors and audience members. This is a casual position and pays £8.41 an hour, typical shifts are evenings and weekends, with some weekday availability necessary.
