Facilities for customers with additional needs
St George’s Bristol regrets that due to St George’s listed-building status there is limited access to some parts of our building. However, St George’s welcomes customers with additional needs and there is a dedicated accessible entrance from Charlotte Street via a lift. Please be aware that access to the galleries is currently by stairs only.
Please mention your particular needs to the Box Office staff when you book and we will give you all the assistance and advice you need. Limited parking space is available for disabled ‘Blue Badge’ holders in the adjacent car park but must be reserved in advance – call the Box Office to check availability. Please note there is no disabled parking space available for Lunchtime Classics concerts.

Free personal assistant tickets are available for each full paying ticket holder who requires someone to assist them with their visit. Please contact the box office for more details.
St George’s has recently installed a new Assisted Listening System called Sennheiser MobileConnect. Using WiFi, visitors to St George’s can now get superior quality live audio from concerts, talks, and exhibitions fed directly to their smart phone, or similar device – either through headphones or via a necklace for hearing aid users. The sound levels can be adjusted on your device to suit your needs and our House Team will be happy to assist you with this. The Sennheiser MobileConnect system has been installed to combat the poor coverage to the more traditional hearing loop within the main hall.
Headphones/necklaces can be booked via the Box Office in advance or borrowed on the day, for a refundable deposit of £5. Visitors can download the Sennheiser MobileConnect app using the links below to use on their own device and can also use their own headphones. [Google Play Store or App Store]. Please speak to our Box Office Team for more information at the time of booking. Please let our Box Office Team know in good time ahead of a concert should you require assistance to use the MobileConnect system. This is so you and those around you can enjoy the best possible concert experience.
Guide dogs are admitted to all parts of the venue.
Accessible toilet facilities are located within the Bar, accessible by lift.
Parking for customers with additional needs
There is no public parking in the car park adjacent to the building, with the exception of disabled parking for ‘Blue Badge’ holders (see above).
Parking in the streets around the building is on meters, and free on Sundays. The nearest car parks are located on Trenchard Street, Millennium Square, West End, Brandon Street, College Street and Frog Lane.
St George’s Bristol is pleased to be able to offer some relaxed performances as part of its programmed events. We will always indicate in the event information whether a performance is relaxed. These events are perfect for people of all ages who would benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including those of all sensory and communicative abilities. This includes, but is not limited to, those with autistic spectrum conditions or learning disabilities. Audience members are free to make involuntary noise, move about, and come and go as they please. Parents are welcome to bring small children, and families should feel welcome to bring older family members living with conditions such as dementia. We encourage anyone who wishes to discuss their requirements further to contact us.
Our MiniBeats Family Concerts always feature a Relaxed Performance, usually at 2pm on a MiniBeats Sunday. Whenever possible, a sign language interpreter will join the team for these events.
