Playing his own swinging, South African-inspired compositions alongside those of his legendary father Dave Brubeck, pianist Darius Brubeck is once again accompanied by his outstanding, all-star band featuring Dave O’Higgins on saxophones, Matt Ridley on double bass, and Wesley Gibbens, drums, in a show celebrating the quartet’s tenth year together, and the sixtieth anniversary of Dave Brubeck’s 1958 world tour, a landmark of ‘jazz diplomacy’. The concert will be performed without amplification.
