Join us for a powerhouse line up of female artists, including the Bristol-based Murmuration Choir and three extraordinary singers who had an integral role in the birth of Girls Girls Girls, the London-based all-female arts collective which is celebrating its ten year anniversary in 2021.
The night will feature renowned Bristol artist Beth Rowley – exploring a deeper, grittier Americana sound – with Scottish-Sudanese ethereal grunger Eliza Shaddad and Jamaican-British new wave jazz indie singer Samantha Lindo, both co-founders of Girls Girls Girls.
The evening will be opened by the Murmuration Choir, Bristol’s contemporary music choir inspired by 6Music DJs and the alternative music scene, with a repertoire that draws from a palate of indie, neo-Soul, electronic and experimental sound, founded by singer-songwriter Isolde Freeth-Hale.
Girls Girls Girls was founded to celebrate and empower womxn in the music industry and to campaign against female genital cutting. This very special evening marking International Women’s Day will end with an artists Q&A and discussion reflecting on their experience in the arts, social justice and feminism over the last decade, and their hopes for the next.
Enjoy delicious pre-concert drinks and nibbles ahead of the evening’s concert. Choose from a selection of house drinks on arrival accompanied by a board of bread, olives and dips (all vegetarian).
