Heritage at St George’s Bristol
Our Grade II* building has been standing tall for nearly 200 years. Its fascinating story, from consecration as a church in 1823 to its final metamorphosis into the music venue we cherish today, is now the subject of a permanent Heritage Interpretation Exhibition in the crypt, open to visitors and concert audiences alike.
We are extremely grateful to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for giving us the opportunity to explore and share the St George’s Story, and also for helping enable us to develop some fascinating heritage-themed activities for children, families and adults…
