What’s the connection between Bristol’s favourite band, the world famous outlaw artist and St George’s? As a social media add-on to his recent BBC Bristol Inside Out West documentary ‘Vandals and Visionaries’, TV Director Ben White put a little film together from two archive sources provided by St George’s Senior Programme Producer Phil Johnson.

With 360,000 views so far, the main interest seems to be in whether Robert Del Naja – Massive Attack’s 3D, interviewed on camera by Phil back in 1985 – is really the elusive Banksy (a controversy sparked or re-ignited by a recent interview with fellow graffiti artist and music person Goldie). You can check the video here, while more of Phil’s archive footage can be seen in the early part of ‘Vandals and Visionaries’, available on iPlayer here.
