Do you want to spend the morning of your wedding rushing around decorating the venue or would you rather be at home relaxing, surrounded by loved ones? If you’d prefer the stress-free approach, you could really benefit from the styling skills of a professional wedding planner. My role is to add some style inspiration, recommend fantastic décor suppliers and provide lots of gorgeous and unique decor ideas.

I began my career as a Wedding Planner in 2011 and began coordinating St George’s portfolio of weddings in 2013. The styling service was added in 2014 to assist our busy couples. The service begins with a complimentary consultation at St George’s to talk through your initial ideas and find out more about you both and what you both love in terms of colours, themes and design.

wedding moodboard 2Every couple is individual and unique, so the aim is to create a theme that truly reflects your personalities, whether that’s bright and playful or more classic and muted. I will add ideas and make suggestions about how to use the space in the Crypt and the Hall based on my experience as a wedding planner. I have a wide knowledge of stylish and fun wedding trends and can draw inspiration from things that have worked brilliantly at previous St George’s weddings. However it remains 100% your day and I will never take over or force ideas on you that you don’t like.

Pinterest is a great resource in wedding planning, so if you have a board already, I can go through this to help understand what you like. If you don’t then I’ll create a board for you whilst doing initial research for your wedding. I then create a detailed five or six page styling inspiration report and mood board that will pull all of your ideas into a cohesive look. It’s full of lots of ideas for each space and lists of recommended suppliers for any decorative items, flowers, cakes and props. You should find this really useful when buying or making decorative items, speaking with your florist and designing your cake.

I’ll make sure I fully understand how you’d like the tables to look and take detailed notes on any other special features you’d like me to style on the morning of the wedding. When you arrive at St George’s you will find the venue decorated for you and looking amazing.

“Steph has been brilliant from the very beginning. She helped me decide what theme and feel I wanted and was full of helpful suggestions for how to achieve it. The wedding styling report which she created was what got me so excited about the day. Steph is wonderfully helpful without being overbearing, unlike many other wedding planners I’ve come across.

On the day she quietly managed everything. She styled the hall beautifully and we knew we could trust her to work her magic. This meant I could relax and enjoy the days leading up to the wedding without stressing too much. I think Steph was one of the best value investments we made across the wedding. She really is something special”
