Do you offer packages?
This is not something that we currently offer, which gives you the flexibility to plan a truly bespoke day to your tastes.
Can I have my ceremony at St George’s?
Unfortunately, due to our unique history, we are unable to perform any kind of religious or legal ceremony or blessing in the building or on the grounds. We are, however, very happy to host non-religious blessings carried out by friends or family members.
How many people can I invite?
The hall is ideal for between 80 and 200 dining guests, and can accommodate as many as 300 for your evening reception.
Can I set up the day before?
When you hire St George’s you are guaranteed access from 9am until 12 midnight on the day of your wedding. Access on the days before and after your wedding is dependent on other events, but if we can give you access, we will.
Are there any restrictions on how I can decorate St George’s?
There are some restrictions due to the building being Grade II* listed. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas and we will be able to advise you. Steph, our wedding coordinator, also offers a styling service, and can help you decide how you want to decorate St George’s. Will there be anyone to help me set up and take down my decorations?
Steph and some of the St George’s staff will be available to help on the day, but we would recommend that you will need to ask some friends and family to come in and lend a hand.
Can I park at St George’s?
We have very limited space for parking at St George’s. If you book your wedding on a weekend you will have use of up to 10 parking spaces, and there are fewer available during the week. These spaces will need to accommodate your caterers, photographer, band etc. so please bear that in mind when you’re planning your wedding. Guests are welcome to use the parking spaces as well, but registration numbers will need to be supplied before the event. If you’re visiting for a meeting or a tour and would like a parking space, please get in touch to book a space beforehand.
Are there options for corkage?
No, we do not offer corkage options. Our bar prices are very reasonable, and the selection on offer is wide ranging and locally sourced. A wine tasting with our knowledgeable Bar Manager is complimentary, and we’re confident we have wines that you’ll love!
What time are you licensed until?
We are licensed to serve alcohol until 11:30PM, and to have guests in the building and grounds until 12 midnight.
I would like to use a catering company that is not one of your preferred suppliers, is this possible?
We’re very happy with our preferred caterers at St George’s Bristol; they have delivered bespoke menus at hundreds of events here. Each caterer will happily conduct a food tasting to ensure you’re absolutely happy with your menu, but if you’ve got your heart set on a specific caterer we will allow you to use them. There is a small fee associated with this, which you can discuss further with the Events Team.
Can you supply a DJ or Musicians?
Music preferences can be very subjective, but we are more than happy to recommend musicians where we can.
