In June 2021, the stylish bassist and composer Greg Cordez released his third album Magnolia on Ropeadope Records. This completes the set of three and returns to material and themes found in the previous critically acclaimed releases Paper Crane and Last Things Last, as well as further exploring the influences of Reid Anderson, Todd Sickafoose, Charles Mingus and Charlie Haden.
Cordez is a vastly experienced bassist who has played with a host of leading international musicians including the inimitable NYC based guitarist Steve Cardenas (Carla Bley, Paul Motion).
For this performance, Cordez is joined by a stellar lineup: Rebecca Nash (keys), Nicholas Dover (saxophone), Steve Banks (guitar), Andrew Bain (drums).
