Ben Connolly & Tomás Campbell

Join us for our second Apollo session of 2026 with London-Bristol based Irish traditional duo Ben Connolly and Tomás Campbell. London-born flautist Ben Connolly, with roots in Connemara and East Galway, grew up immersed in Irish traditional music.

Having won two world titles for ‘All Ireland music champion’ in 2019, Ben has since gone on to perform and teach workshops across the UK, Ireland and Germany, and is currently in his final year of undergraduate studies at the University of Bristol.
London-born musician Tomás Campbell will be joining Ben on tenor banjo and guitar. Alongside performances at Irish music festivals across the country, Tom’s recent highlights include perfornmances on BBC and RTE radio, opening for Wolf Alice, and touring across England and Ireland with the Ceol Le Chéile Orchestra. Playing together since childhood, Ben and Tom take their inspiration from older styles of Irish traditional music. Their performances together have taken them to leading venues Cadogan Hall, Kings Place, and the Mayor of London’s St Patrick’s Day Festival in Trafalgar Square.
