Rachael McShane & the Cartographers
Rachael McShane is a singer, cellist, fiddle and viola player based in the North East of England. An original member of folk big band Bellowhead, Rachael toured internationally, recording 5 studio albums and winning 8 BBC Folk Awards with the band.
Rachael is now working on a new project re-working traditional songs with her new band The Cartographers featuring guitarist Matthew Ord (Assembly Lane) and melodeon player Julian Sutton (Kathryn Tickell, Sting).

‘Stone cold classic genius…ridiculously talented” Americana Magazine
The Last Inklings
The Last Inklings are Leonardo MacKenzie (cello, piano, violin) and David Hoyland (guitar, mandolin, violin, percussion).
The band’s innovative sound crosses genres, centred around cello, mandolin and vocal harmony, layered with guitar, piano, strings, synths and percussion. With vibrant backstories and creative musicianship, their songs are rich with imagery and narrative, exploring at their core what it is to be human.
Their name is a nod to the mid 20th century literary group of Tolkien, CS Lewis and friends, and the duo draw inspiration from a wide pool of writers from Carl Jung to Terry Pratchett. Sonic influences include the cinematic soundscapes of Max Richter and the traditional songs and tunes of the British Isles.
