Bristol Concert Orchestra

This event has passed.

German Romanticism forms a huge core of classical music – BCO will play two significant pieces from the repertoire, even if their composers are less well known than Brahms or Wagner and indeed one is French.

Maxim Kinasov performs our Mozart concerto which is from an earlier period, ‘the age of enlightenment’ and features characteristics of ‘sturm und drang’ where drama, tension and emotions are expressed – these being a precursor to the power and passions of romantic music.

Programme

Humperdinck Hansel & Gretel Overture
Mozart Piano Concerto No 20
Franck Symphony in D minor
