Brook Tate’s Menagerie
This event has passed.
‘A rare and extraordinary beast, I wept.’ (Bristol 24/7)
Brook Tate comes to St. Georges for a night of soul, folk, live illustration, musical theatre and drag. Releasing new music alongside an exhibition of artwork, it will be a menagerie of art…and animals.
After his genre-breaking show Birthmarked at the Bristol Old Vic, Brook Tate has returned to the piano to record his first EP. Coming from a place of discovery and curiosity Brook’s songs touch on familial loss, faith and queer identity.
With the help and support of his long time bandmates, Brook’s performances reach a level he could never have imagined… with a kind hearted whale named Gayle, a trans-special giraffe named Martha, and a certain zebra called Debra.
