On the brink of a brilliant international career, award winning concert pianist Iyad Sughayer makes his long awaited debut at St George’s.

The Jordanian-Palestinian pianist studied at Chetham’s School of Music, the Royal Northern College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Recent highlights include winning the Trinity Laban Gold Medal, his BBC Philharmonic Orchestra concerto debut and being selected as a City Music Foundation Artist 2019. Iyad has performed across the UK, Middle East, Europe and the United States.

In a recent article in International Piano Magazine, Iyad talks of the, “singing quality”, when explaining his love of Khachaturian, whose Armenian flavour instantly struck “a deep emotional chord” when he was a young pianist in Jordan.
