Laboratorium Pieśni

HÉ OYÁTE premiere

Part of Festival of Voice

This event has passed.

Laboratorium Pieśni – or Song Laboratory – are a Polish all-female vocal group who use traditional, polyphonic singing to explore songs from different parts of the world.

They sing a cappella and also with shaman drums and other ethnic instruments, creating rich, atmospheric layers of vocal harmony in the same stunningly evocative mould as Les Voix Bulgares.

Following their sold out pre-covid performance in Bristol they return as part of Festival of Voice with a brand new album HÉ OYÁTE. They say: “We are so excited to come to St George’s to celebrate the birth of our newest album. Join us for an evening filled with songs from different cultures as well as our own original intuitive compositions woven together with dreamed up words, melodies and stories and sounds.”

This concert is approximately 90 minutes straight through without an interval.
