Lantern Making Workshops with Craft with Clare

Part of Bristol Light Festival 2026

This event has passed.

Celebrate Lunar New Year and the Bristol Light Festival with a joyful, hands-on day of lantern making at St George’s Bristol.

Join local artist Craft with Clare for a series of free lantern-making workshops, where children and families will create their very own lunar new year themed folded lanterns, complete with:

  • a handmade tassel
  • a soft lantern light
  • and a special space inside to write a New Year wish or intention

At the end of the day, all participants are invited to take part in a lantern gathering (Singing by Lanternlight) outside St George’s, bringing our handmade lights together to celebrate creativity, hope, and new beginnings.
