Bristol City Council have informed us about resurfacing work taking place on the College Green and Canon’s Road junction, with the junction closed overnight from Mon 18 – Thu 21 May, from 9pm until 5.30am. There will be no through access to general traffic travelling up or down Park Street, or travelling to or from the city centre towards Anchor Road, during the road closure times. Three insightful films focusing on cultural resistance in Palestine, including Liwan, an uplifting story about the struggle to establish a cultural café in Nazareth promoting Palestinian culture and driving a rejuvenation of the old city.

Q&A with the director of Liwan, Doris Hakim, the co-founder of the cafe Sally Azzam, and award-winning journalist Jonathan Cook after the screenings.

Ticket includes food: the ultimate Middle Eastern wrap – falafel, salad and tahini – a classic vegetarian and gluten free handful of deliciousness.
