Tori Freestone on saxes and Acyona Mick on piano are both much in demand on the UK jazz scene; their respective approaches share a whole range of influences outside jazz as well, including folk, Brazilian and Arabic music, and silent film. Together, in this acoustic set – perfect for St George’s – the award-winning duo build a sparkling dialogue full of melodic surprise, improvisatory elan and lavish emotional heft.
