Nature Salon: The Wonder of Bees

This event has passed.

Renowned entomologist Steve Nicholls talks to Mary Colwell about the wonder of bees and wildflowers, and then takes you on a walk up to Brandon Hill to explore these pollinators in their natural habitat.

During the talk Steve and Mary will discuss the vital role that bees and other insects play in our lives and how remarkable new scientific discoveries are transforming how we see bees. On the walk, Steve hopes to point out the extraordinary diversity of tiny lives that exist even in the heart of our city. The talk will last approximately 1 hour and the walk up to Brandon Hill will last approximately 1 hour. Please note, if the weather is extremely windy or rainy, the walk will not happen.
