No Wires: Zoe Rahman

This event has passed.

MOBO Award winner, Mercury Prize nominee and Ivor Novello Impact Award winner, Zoe Rahman is a highly original presence in the landscape of contemporary music.

Her style is deeply rooted in jazz yet reflects her classical background, British/Bengali heritage and kaleidoscopic musical influences. Tonight Zoe plays acoustic solo piano arrangements from her latest album written for octet, Colour of Sound, as well as music from her back catalogue, including the album Dreamland. Deeply imaginative, beautifully realised playing – an intense, wonderful splash of musical colour.

“Her sound is drenched with originality – a world class artist, composer and performer….” Ivors Academy

“The highlight of the entire Festival. The writing was intelligent and imaginative and the playing superb.” thejazzmann.com
