Recorded and released in 1971, Marvin Gaye’s iconic masterpiece What’s Going On gave voice to a generation as it reflected on the violence and turmoil of 1971 with laser-sharp precision. Widely recognised as one of the most important albums of all time, What’s Going On continues to chime with the confusion and uncertainty of the early 21st century. 50 years on from its original release, the Nu Civilisation Orchestra, led by Peter Edwards – and joined by special guests – will reflect on current times through the lens of Gaye’s extraordinary song cycle and his incredible catalogue. Produced by Tomorrow’s Warriors.
