Olivia Chaney

Part of Festival of Voice

This event has passed.

The supremely original and extraordinarily gifted Olivia Chaney returns to St George’s for the first time in 5 years to play songs with her band from her new long-awaited album Circus of Desire (released March 2024).

This record builds on Olivia’s reputation as the author of an unmistakably unique brand of luscious, sophisticated music that explores inherited trauma, the clash of tradition and modernity, and the darkness and light of love. It’s been a while since we saw her last, and Chaney has not been standing still – she has married, had children, and, in her own words, “entered into the deeper mystery of things.” Chaney has received rave reviews for past work as lead singer for electronica outfit Zero 7, her collaborations with Kronos Quartet and Grammy nominated collection of Fairport Convention-era classics made with The Decemberists.
