Pasture & Storm is a kaleidoscope of musical moods and influences – joyful dances based on medieval tunes, poignant laments from Afghanistan, the drama of a Spanish bullfight and a gentle pastorale at dusk.
Join us for a unique concert and CD launch celebrating virtuoso left hand pianists with world premieres by Sadie Harrison alongside classics by Scriabin, Bartok and Rachmaninov. The Pasture & Storm Project brings together a fabulous group of international musicians and features renowned pianist Nicholas McCarthy. Nicholas’s dazzling artistry and advocacy for disabled people have made him one of the world’s most sought after performers and motivational speakers.
We are so excited that he will be giving premieres of music written especially for him by Sadie Harrison, herself considered to be one of the leading composers of her generation. Nicholas will be joined by singer Peyee Chen, the Bristol Ensemble and two other fantastic pianists, Tomáš Klement and Sophia Benton, also a left hand only pianist currently studying at the Welsh College of Music and Drama.
