Part of Festival of Voice

This event has passed.

Ranjana Ghatak, North Indian vocalist, will be performing at St George’s Bristol as part of the Festival of Voice. Ranjana will also be putting on a vocal workshop.

Ranjana grew up singing and has been mentored by many iconic vocalists and worked with countless others. She explores traditional music, as well as contemporary instrumentation and has performed in the prestigious Cadogan Hall and was invited to perform in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

She will be joined by: Kirpal Singh Panesar, an esraj player whose skill of improvisation and ability to portray various emotions through his music leaves one captivated. Harkiret Singh Bahra, a tabla player and beacon in the diaspora, bridging cultural boundaries with the universal language of rhythm. As well as, Céline Saout: she has been playing the harp since the age of 8 and in 2011 Céline was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
