Red Roses Yarn Art Project

This event has passed.

Inspired by the Red Roses’ love of crochet as a team-bonding activity, England Rugby are calling on the nation to take part in a Yarn Art Installation project, designed to inspire the next generation of female players and deliver a legacy for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.

Come along to our crochet café to meet with other enthusiastic crochet’ers to help create part of the roses elements of the Yarn Art Project. Once you’ve made your roses there will also be an opportunity to install the yarn art in a range of local cultural venues and institutions across Bristol during the tournament (22nd August to 27 September 2025).

You can also get involved by making the pieces with friends, family, or your local rugby team and then dropping them off to St George’s to be gathered with ones that are made at the crochet café. The more roses the merrier!

You can view and download the pattern here.
