Star of stage, screen and radio, comedy legend Sara Pascoe headlines a night of unforgettable high-octane fun in celebration of two years of Bristol’s madcap cabaret, RIOT ACT. Sharp, whip-smart and brilliantly funny, join us to kick off our third year in action with a masterclass in Comedy like no other from one of the UK’s most beloved comedians.
Perhaps you’ve been to a RIOT ACT show before. Perhaps you’ve heard from a friend. Perhaps we’re completely new to you. From hare-brained idea to back-to-back sell-out shows and crowd-favourite appearances across the UK festival circuit, our first two years in action have been a truly wild ride. Troubled by the new pressures on mental health that we all face in the world today, we set out to create a daring alternative to mainstream entertainment which put the full spectrum of Bristol’s creativity centre stage. What started as an open mic night in the basement of a decommissioned police station has quickly become an exceptional institution of laughter respected on the national scene. Known for our madcap combination of performance styles, breathtaking energy and feel-good mix of superstar headliners with local DIY creative champions, we’re pulling out all the stops to bring you our most impressive and daring show to date.
Expect a night of unforgettable high-octane fun, showcasing an all-star cast of the artists who’ve made our event what it is today, spanning the worlds of comedy, stand-up poetry, cabaret and circus. Available to pre-order when booking your tickets, you can choose from a selection of house drinks on arrival, accompanied by a mezze board of bread, dips, olives, stuffed peppers, falafel, feta cheese and garden salad (all vegetarian).
