Riverwoods

An Untold Story

This event has passed.
The salmon need the forest. The forest needs the salmon. And Scotland needs them both.

Narrated by Peter Capaldi, this extraordinary film tells the story of Scotland’s salmon and their fundamental importance to the health of the whole ecology of the region.

The King of Fish, is not only the ultimate angler’s prize but a key building block in a complex forest ecosystem. This brilliant and visually stunning documentary is the story of how Scotland’s life-rich rivers have been greatly diminished, but also crucially, how they can be reborn through a shared, realistic vision of restoration and recovery.

Three years in the making, Riverwoods is a feature-length documentary that shines a light on the perilous state of Scotland’s salmon and tells the compelling story of an inextricable relationship between fish and forest.

Book the Talk: Join Peter Cairns, founder of the charity Scotland: The Big Picture, who produced Riverwoods, after the screening, for an emotive and powerful talk about rewilding.
