Wards: An Evening on Wills, Legacy and Looking Ahead
Tickets
Free to St George's members and supporters
A 9% booking fee applies online and over the phone. A £2.50 postage fee is charged where applicable.
We are delighted to invite our supporters to a special early evening event in partnership with local law firm and St George’s supporter, Wards Solicitors.
Wards’ Senior Partner Ruth Coles and Solicitor Annabel Davis will give an engaging and accessible talk on Wills and future planning — why having the right arrangements in place matters, what can happen when they’re not, and how upcoming legal changes (including the proposed Wills Bill 2025) may affect us all. The talk will touch on issues relevant to those in later marriages or with blended families, where careful planning can help protect assets, balance interests and ensure wishes are understood. They will also explore how charitable giving through a Will can be part of wider inheritance tax planning, and discuss lasting powers of attorney, including current best practice and digitalisation.
The event is designed to be entertaining and informative without being too technical, with time to ask plenty of questions in a relaxed setting. After the talk, Ruth, Annabel and other Wills lawyers from Wards will be on hand to answer specific queries around Wills, probate and estate planning.
Whether your plans are already in place or simply on the horizon, this is an opportunity to gain clarity, confidence and peace of mind.
This event is free and exclusive to St George’s members and supporters. Booking essential. Your ticket includes a complimentary drink.
The evening will be introduced by St George’s Chief Executive, Samir Savant.
