Wild Words: Dance of the Violin

This event has passed.

Michael Loader storytelling and trumpet
Martin Solomon violin, accordion and harp

Once there was a boy called Joshua who loved making noises “BLOP!”, sounds “KERPLISH!” and MUSIC “Aaaah”… so one day his parents bought him a violin for his birthday…

Join Joshua on his childhood adventures with crazy animals, stern teachers, birthday parties, music lessons and a once in a lifetime trip to Kalamazoo to take part in “A Very BIG Competition!”, where you can step on stage to sing, dance and play in our own Playshop Orchestra!

A true story based on the life of Joshua Bell from noise maker to internationally acclaimed violin virtuoso.

The event runs in two parts – first a Playshop to create your own ‘Theatre Shop Orchestra’, then the show itself. Event ends approx. 12.15pm.

Playshop (45 minutes) – Noise, sound and music making with the objects and instruments we provide and those you bring. We will also create the Theatre Shop Orchestra to grace the stage in Kalamazoo!

Recommended age 5+
Tickets £7; 4 for 3
