Ground-breaking, one-of-a-kind saxophonist Courtney Pine marks his 60th birthday in this very special Caribbean summer party at St George’s.
We’ll be taking out the seats downstairs to do justice to the occasion: a crack 6-piece band celebrating Caribbean music and the influence in the UK of Caribbean culture. It is a personal project for Courtney, a special edition of his award-winning album House of Legends. Expect an all-star band from Africa, the Caribbean and Europe, and an exhilarating mix of merengue, ska, mento and calypso. Expect to dance!*
