The renowned jazz saxophonist Craig Crofton returns to the Glass Studio, St George’s, for an unforgettable night of music celebrating the life and work of the legendary jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery.
Following the success of his sold-out Miles Davis tribute concert in April, Crofton brings together an all-star lineup to explore the varied styles that made Montgomery one of the most influential and innovative guitarists in jazz history. From swinging blues to intricate jazz waltzes, from calypso rhythms to funky grooves, this performance will capture the essence of Montgomery’s genius and his immense contributions to the jazz world.
The band features the maestro guitarist Matt Hopkins along with the amazing Anders Olinder on organ and heavy-hitting Ian Mathews on drums. The show promises to be an exciting and hard-swinging evening of jazz, full of musical exploration, passion, and, of course, deep respect for the legacy of Wes Montgomery.
