Rachel needs no introduction. She has established herself as one of the leading baroque violinists in the world. She was the first woman to be awarded the prestigious Kohn Foundation Bach Prize in October 2015, was Gramophone Artist of the Year 2018, and was awarded BBC Music Magazine Recording of the Year and Instrumental Award 2023 for her solo album Tutta Sola.
Lucie Horsch has quickly risen to the highest ranks of the world’s best recorder players. Her charismatic performances and passionate advocacy for the recorder speak of a brilliant and curious musical mind intent on redefining the expressive possibilities of her instrument. Horsch has captivated audiences across Europe with her fearless bridging of Baroque masterpieces with contemporary works, demonstrating the recorder’s rich and often surprising soundworld.
The programme is approximately 70 minutes long without an interval.
